Fungus gnats

Chickenville, FL(Zone 9a)

Anyone else having problems with these little buggers yet? I am seeing some and the soil isn't even barely wet. It seems like it would be too cold for them right now but I guess not. In the past I have used stuff like Bt (knock out gnat etc.) for my other plants. Is this safe for the epies?
Plus I am rooting some and didn't want to water them all that much (with the bt product you water it in...) Also, has anyone found that a layer of sand works to deter them with epies?
Thanks

I do not know. But I seem to have gnats in the house and can not find where they are coming from. The little bugs are bugging me big time.

I had gnats really bad in my house. Someone told me they are attracted to vinegar. I took a bowl and filled it with vinegar, covered the bowl with plastic wrap, and left a hole in the top of the plastic wrap just big enough for them to get in but not back out. I was amazed at how well it worked. Hope this helps.
