Hello, this is one of the birdies I saw on my vacation to Glacier National Park in September. It was on one of our day long hikes along the Two Medicine Trail in the southeast portion of the park. He was really hidden, only knew he was there because we had stopped for a breather and could hear the tapping.
Could this be an American three toed woodpecker? That would be so cool!
CLOSED: Montana woodpecker
I have some video footage of him too, I will try to figure out how to load it
Yep, I'd agree with 3-toed Wp. Good one to get!
