Not all are that great cause they are taken with my cell phone but I just wanted to share.
The black silkie rooster that hopefully will make it up to Haystack sometime soon.
New fun pictures
Cute pictures, and really good ones for a cell phone camera.
cute pictures karbear!!
is that a beagle? ours begs to be lifted on the bed, too, but its because he has a bad back. :-S
Nice silkie roo Karbear my DH just called me and said hes bringing home 3 silkie chicks for me.
I haven't had silkies for about 2 years and look forward to raiseing these.
Your son Kalvin is a handsome young man and he looks so sweet holding that chicken.
That reminds me i need to go get my brooder and bring it in.
Luv the pics! I had Silkie roos but they insisted on jumping onto my nephew's and my legs everytime we went into the coop. They are handsome though!
WOW! The three on the roost look like they are about to pounce! hehehe!
great pics! The dog is so sweet! I know I have trouble getting up into bed myself. LOL
Love the pic's, It's so much fun seeing family members and their glorious pets. I have never seen live phoenix chickens, but do have some pic's of them and they are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing that black roo. Haystack.
I am with you haystack! The Phoenix looks beautiful!
I can tell you from personal experience the Pheonix are very beautiful chicken and the roo i had was very calm he never once tried to fight with me. He was a silver Pheonix and he had a tail that was 3 foot long and he walked proudly through the yard like he knew he was special.
WOW! sounds beautiful! Do some breeds tend to have better temperment than others?
That Pheonix is beautiful and they look so regal. I wish I could have another roo!
Harmony,
How do you keep the tail on the phoenix clean? I have been looking at buying a trio, but now thinking that they may need special care/housing, etc.
Thanks,
~music
Great pictures! I love it that you rescued a roadside chicken! What a sweet thing to do. I love my chicken rescue girls.
Hey Music I didn't he was free range and i couldn't catch him if i wanted too. He would roost at night in a cedar tree about 40 foot off the ground and his tail would hang down. I got him from a feed store my son and i picked out some americanas and some others and he was a suprise. He was the only one who would crow at 1 week old so we named him Whis short for whistler. He was also the only rooster and he had a harem of 9 hens. I sold them about 2 years ago because they kept doing the dirtys on my back porch.
I would recommend these to everybody they are beautiful and they walk proud best rooster i ever had!
Thanks for everyone's comments.
Mandark is a pocket beagle and has just recently had a hip issue and has decided not to jump up on the bed as much and waits for me to put him up. Spoiled rotten!!!
The Phoenix roo of ours is great and very mellow. I cannot wait to see how long his tail gets.
I love pictures!
Great pics karbear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
Is Mandark an evil genius?! Love the name!
Mandark IS an evil genius. Guess what our other regular size beagle is named Dexter.
Fuzzychicken,,,, I didn't get to talk to you much this evening. your cousin can be a pain in the rear
Perfect. Who's DeeDee? The cat?
We actually did have a DeeDee. Dexter's sister. Sadly she got ran over. (seriously)
The cats names are Cosmo and Crocker!
So sorry...
You can tell we have cartoon watchers in the family.
all of the avian types cockatiels and chickens don't have cartoon names though. :)
We took quite a few 12hr roadtrips DD was too young to have much concept of time. She always started the "Are we there, yet. How much longer?s with about 3-4 hours to go. We've got 2 Scoobies, 2 Dexters, 2 Power Puff Girls, 2 Ed, Edd, n Eddies, and 2 Mike, Lou and Ogs. Next time she asked? We've almost finished the first Scooby -this is the last commercial. After that? Dexter just started, it's one with Coosie. Etc,etc... She has a fairly good sense of time still, even today, lol!
