I signed on to DG about a month ago and have been just checking things out here and there. The photo contest was interesting and I spent some time looking that over and really enjoyed that. The home page and the list of newest posts is helping me get a feel for where people are talking about what. I have been gardening in one way or another for over 20 years. I was lucky enough to meet a new friend at that time who had an organic vegetable garden, so I got off on the right foot. I stuck to vegetable gardening for awhile but we have added perennial and shrub beds. The past three winters I discovered winter sowing and seed trading, but this year I am skipping over most of it and may just do a few in the early spring. I have health issues that sometimes keep me inactive but my DH and three kids help out. So that's about it in a nutshell. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and hearing about your gardens over the winter. :-)
Lisabeth
Hello...new to Dave's Garden and NE Forum :-)
Welcome lizbeth
You will likeit here.I joined last March and shortly after that had met some warm and wonderful people who are generous with their knowlege of gardning.
Welcome. I am sure you will that life is good here at Dave's!
Good morning and Welcome Lisabeth!
Hi Lisabeth, glad to see you posting.
Hi again Lisabeth and welcome! Look forward to seeing you posting.
Welcome Lisabeth! I'm sure you'll enjoy the nice people here on the NE forum.
Aha! Another unsuspecting gardener caught in Dave's enticing web!
(Repeat 17.5 times: you WILL post, you WILL post, you...)
Thank you all for the warm welcome. Wow...a lot of people from New York here and some from every other state, but mine. [g] No, I know there are a few of them around here somewhere. I love all the New England states and look forward to hearing if plant material is any different then what is usually used around my neck of the woods. Since this is the Northeast forum and not the New England forum, maybe I will learn something new about some of the other northern states that I am not very familiar with. That's great.
Don...I can usually be counted on to post with a fair amount of regularity, but from now until the first of the year, is usually a busy time for me and we'll just have to see. Everyone get's caught up in the holidays, right? :-)
Candyce...I do have a camera but just a point and shoot. I hope to have some photos to post at some point.
Thanks a lot... :-)
Lisabeth

Just don't call him Willie!! :-)
Welcome Lisabeth!
Welcome!!!! You will become addicted!

I wish I had a stone wall.
I called the Telephone Company, Bill .... got them to take $25.00 / month off my phone bill
That's $300.00 / year for plants ..... Yippie!
:-)
Hello and welcome, Lisabeth! I'm currently in Fla. for the winter, but the rest of the year I'm up there in NH, possibly near where you are! As you may have discovered already, this is a great group of fun, generous people from all over everywhere.......we've never met a stranger here!
Louise
Thanks....nice to see a fellow MA gardener, hello Bill. :-)
Louise, so you are a snow bird. We have yet to have any uncomfortable weather here yet, and no snow so far.
Thanks for the welcome, Willie and Jen.
Victor...I want a stone wall too. [g]
victor i may haunt you with another wall project or three next year - i can drool over your photos and you can watch my walls....
Guess that's a fair deal.
Welcome Lisabeth. Another Ma gardener added to the mix is a good thing. Looking forward to hearing and seeing your garden.
Oh, Lisabeth, you are going to love it here. The people are soooo helpful. For instance, as a "newbie" you might be interested in the following thread.

You will receive lots of free seeds from DG members who have lots to share. ^_^
WELCOME!!! I am new also, but I love this place! There are a lot of great people here!
Will see you around. jeanmarie
Welcome "home", Lisabeth! The NE Forum is the BEST, and the FUNNEST!!! Our motto is "everyone is north east of somewhere"!
Hi, Lisabeth. Greetings from a Massachusetts native living in New York! This is a great group of people here, always so helpful. If you ever have a question just ask, you'll have any answer in no time.
Welcome aboard.
Dyane
Hi Dyane. How's the baby?
Hi Victor. She's wonderful. This baby just loves to smile and laugh. Just came from the doctors today, she even smiled after she got a shot in the leg!
Thanks for asking. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
Dyane
Hi Dyane, if baby had shot today...then how's Mom? I use to hate them..when my 1st child got her shot I cried too. lol
Hi Celeste. I'm okay with it. I try to stay calm so the kiddos don't get upset before they have to. Some of the kids in that office were letting out some terrible cries today. I'd hate to listen to that all day every day!!!!
Welcome Lisabeth.... nice to meet you
Allison
So ngam and Seandor and PrimroseSue make five so far from MA. Nice to meet you all. :-) How long have you been members here?
Thanks for the link to the Seeds Seandor, that is quite a generous offer.
PrimroseSue, I take it you enjoy primrose? [g] I am very fond of them as well, only I have a pretty dry garden, so I am experimenting with a few varieties to see if I can manage to keep them. I have had the Japanese primrose coming back for me for two years.
jeanmarie, thanks for the welcome. How long have you been a member? I would be interested in what type of sewing you do. I am planning on taking it back up this winter.
John and Liza...what a gorgeous Dahlia! I take it, the Round Up is a local get together? Is it like a swap? Is it once a year in the spring?
Dyane...how do you like the change in growing season there in 7a? Congratulations, how old is your baby?
Allison, nice to meet you. I see we are the same growing zone even though you are quite a bit south of me in the Garden State. :-)
Yes! I love primroses! Don't have that many yet but, someday . . .

lisabeth, I have been here for a little over a year, so one of the newer Ma people. I think there are a few more Ma gardeners here and there so we are well represented. Are you in east or western Ma ?
Eastern Mass, ngam.
Welcome Lisabeth and Jeanmarie. I see you have in common two names combined in one. My name is actually Pollyanna, so I'm with you. (Please don't tell anyone).
I'm a NE forum snowbird. I wish I was one in real life, but for now I must stay winters in cold NY. I've been trying to get an internet business going so my springs, summers, and falls have kept me off the computer a lot, but I'm around more in the winter.
You'll love it here.
Polly
