This afternoon I went out to check my new brug for the first time in several days. (It's been raining) The ends of the pods are opening and something that looks like a green flower thing is coming out. At least this is what a datura flower coming out looks like. What is it? The plant is rather small no more than 4 ft., so I can't believe it's really a flower. Five of the seven are doing this. HELP!!!!!

sounds like a flower to me. :) four foot tall plants will flower, I have some about 2 1/2' and they are setting buds. I'm excited for you!!! do you know which or what color brug it is?? I hope you have a digital camera?
Remember, some of them open white or yellow and then change colors.
No, I don't know what color it is. I got it last week-end at a big plant sale at my favorite nursery. The plant is very unsightly but I bought it because it was the only one that had buds. I had just discover brugs and had to have one, the color wasn't inportant. My mom has a digital camera so I may have a picture to post. I'm beside myself with excitement.
I'll be waiting to hear you yell "WOW..oh my goodness, do you see that?"

brugcrazy, I check out your list and you have quite a variety. Do you ever have seeds to trade or are they all plants? Will I end up with that many? I hope so. We are looking at a house that has 2 acres. Looks like I may need that much.

Catlady, Did you say you bought your Brug at a nursery in Gladewater? I am amazed!I had to buy mine from a catalog. I am beginning to think I live in the Brug backwaters of America! When I asked about them at the nurseries around here, you would have thought I had asked for a twoheaded Martian! Good luck with yours.
