During the holidays I always like to try some new recipes. I suspect I am not alone and was wondering if anyone made something that was wildly successful or a real dud?
I have one I am taking to a friends and will report on its' review later. Thought I'd share it now.
Pumpkin Pie Dip
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese ~ softened
1 (15 oz) can pumpkin pie filling
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
Beat cream cheese and sugar till smooth. Add pie filling and spices. Beat well. Cover and chill for 8 hours. This will make almost a quart of dip.
The dippers I'm serving this with are apple slices, pecan halves and gingersnap cookies. Couldn't find any good pears this past week but would like to have added them also.
I'd love to hear what new food recipes were tried today and will post later on how this Pumpkin Pie dip went over.
Happy Thanksgiving!
