Hi
I got some chicken s a while back and one is broody but im not sure what her breed is.
Please excuse the wrong-way-roundness of this picture and the fact that her butt is in the front of the picture,She is photo shy!
What Breed Are Me And My Sister?
Okay I am very bad at guessing chicken breeds, but I have a question. In the picture of the second chicken, are her wings clipped? I have never seen a hen with her wings clipped and her wings look different than my hens wings.
Sheila
yes the wings r clipped. could they be along the lines of a golden commet, red sex-link, cinnamon queen something like those?
Hi there chickengirl: The first picture was a tough angle, but her combs gave her away, then the second pic,, (sister) confirmed it. They are CATALANA'S and they are from the area of Barcelona, Spain. Not very far from Andalusia, where the blue Andalusian chicken is from. They are beautiful birds and their eggs should be white to a pinkish cream. Not all but most have greenish tail toward the very end. Hope this helps. Haystack
? they don't look the same to me.

Hi Silkiechick: Thanks for the pic's. Go back and look at that pic with the flock of ladies. The Roo is quite different but the female flock look very much like what she showed. Just my opinion, and I have been wrong before. Haystack Happy Thanksgiving.
i didn't say u were wrong, i don't know the breed. i just thought they looked different cuz the first one had so much laceing to it. feathersite doesn't always have the best pics of certain breeds so their pics maybe off too. it won't be for me unfortunately but happy thanksgiveing to u and yours.

sex link is my vote.
They are New Hampshire Reds.
Hehehe just having a lol at feathersite coz the first breed that comes up is called a PRAT for a minute i thought the were talking a bout my brother! lol jokes he's preety cool
these may be catalana crosses but they are not purebred! catalanas have black at the end of there tails and there breast colouring is buff! no lacing or barring as these hens show! because of the white earlobe i would say they could have some in them but are most likely a common cross of red comets or some other sex link
Good point, they both have white tipped tails
The Brown hen lays dark brown smooth shiny eggs and the really speckly one lays snow white eggs, does this mean they are different breeds?
Or mixed, I think...
