Will all brugs pollinate each other?

Pawleys Island, SC

Hi all, I was wondering if all brugs would pollinate each other or if some were more picky like in the passiflora family. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Linda

Flava = Sanguinea x arborea or arborea x sanguinea ...you can also cross vulcanicola into this mix to stir things up.

aurea x suaveolens x versicolor, insignis are your other possibilities. With that said, some (Culebra, etc. ) are notoriously hard to set seed on but it should be noted that these will set seed as well. Some cultivars, not species mind you, are simply a bit more difficult to set seed with or are more pollen receptive than others. Snowbank is a tetraploid and given that fact you should find your best luck with that hybrid by using diploid pollen on it and hoping for a long shot which can and did happen. All Brugmansia are diploid that we know of with the exception of Snowbank.
