Ludgers Summer Dream

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

This is the darkest I have ever seen this cultivar. It's sort of a shocking neon orange (hard to capture on camera). The type of color that makes you stop and take notice......

Honestly, Gary! I am running out of Kleenex boxes from all that drool. People will think I have rabies.

I love that it's another color besides pink. I do like pink Brugs, but it's a nice change to see another color. I hope mine produces flowers that gorgeous next year.

It sure is pretty. I have a hard time with oranges on my digital camera as well. I don't know why...
I have Ludger's windsong and it bloomed recently and was about that dark too. I tried and tried to get a good pic but the camera just wouldn't pick up the bright orange tones.
The Shooting Star are blooming and Jamies monkey business just finished some, but they weren't as dark of orange and are smaller blossoms than the LWS.

I am with betty, I 'm just drooling! I have an unknown orange, but it wasn't that dark. That is beautiful. Linda

Yummy!!!

Another beautiful Brug, Gary. It's great to be able to see your blooms since it's so cold here.

I love that dark colour, and the contrast inside the bloom is very striking. The shape is very pleasing to the eye. Good Job!
I hope I can show a bloom that nice soon! ( I don't have any ludgers, but I will settle for any bloom right now, LOL)

Gary, top photo is one beautiful picture......I think taking images of brugmansias front centers make some of the most breathtaking photos. Love the orange color too!
