Grazie is a variegated import from Germany. Hy. Monica Gottschalk. Blooms are fragrant, cream-color with a mottled orange overlay. Very hardy to our Louisiana climate.

That is a nice variegation. The bloom looks like it kind of has that pillowed/quilted look to it. Pretty and soft!

Kylie, Bev, & Angel thank you for the comments. This one will be released in Sept. 09.

Dollie, Grazie Variegata is doing equally well in my garden, my blooms arer always turning soft Apricot as you see in the picture, the foliage is suppose to be turning green with white Borders , i like you do like green/chartreuse but Monika advised me to give her more light Grazie needs the light to turn the borders white, i did so Nov 9th and as you can see by Nov 13th the new leaves have gotten very much lighter around the Border when compare to the earlier picture with blooms.

I love variegated plants of all sorts and have gravitated toward variegated Brugs. I'm trying to understand if the mutation that causes variegation also causes flower color changes. Gracie is a sport of KBS, which has a white/cream flower. Gracie, on the other hand, has a white/apricot flower which can clearly be seen in the last photo. Does KBS have an apricot colored ancestor? No parents for KBS are listed in the Brugmansia Register.

The flowers of Grazie change into Apricot like the flowers of KBS. The color Apricot is often confused with Orange.

Sorry for my late reply to this thread. I've had the flu and then busy with Thanksgiving.

Christa, I love the look of the white border on your Grazie.....and what beautiful blooms! Thanks for the tip on this brug needing more sunlight. I'll move mine to a different location.

Betty, I'm also adding a few more variegated brugmansias to my garden. The variegated foliage seems to add more interest to the garden landscape.

Monika, I should have said apricot rather than orange. The blooms turn a beautiful apricot the second day of bloom opening. When the blooms first opened up the mottled look appeared to have an orange tint rather than apricot. Lol, that mottled look reminded me of orange sherbert. Here's a photo of second day's bloom.

I am sorry to hear, that you had the flu.
Here is a picture of Grazie and the variegation of the leaves, when placed in full sun:

Dollie, I too am sorry to hear you've had the flu. I hope you were well enough to enjoy all the wonderful smells associated with Thanksgiving.

Monika, your Brugs are always such a treat to look at and Grazie is no exception. She is gorgeous. I hope her fragrance is as good as she looks.

Monica what a beauty!! It's amazing how different Grazie's foliage looks getting full sun. I've been "over-protective" growing some of my imports under a shade cloth ......this Spring, Grazie will get plenty of sunshine because I want the same look you & Christa produce with Grazie.

Betty, my wonderful, sweet daughter cooked Thanksgiving dinner for everyone because I had been so sick. Steph had her home smelling wonderful with all those delicious Thanksgiving smells.....Lol, and it was a real treat not having to cook :)
