false phishing reports

I have signed up for newsletters and other messages from different companies, esp., gardening catalogs. When I check my e-mail from one of the companies I signed up with, Mcafee warns of a possible phishing scam, so I report it as spam. Has anyone else had this problem and how can it be dealt with. ?
