Tropical?

Hi everyone. What is this tropical plant? I'm in the Atlanta, GA area and this plant has almost gone dormant (I think, hope) It has beautiful purple flowers on it spring and summer, and when pollinated, produces light orange berries. I'd like to know what it is and if I can over-winter it.

By over-winter, I mean can I cut it back, put it in the garage and let it go dormant like my bougainvillea (sp) with watering it only a couple times throughout the winter.

It is something they sell here at a lot of nurseries, but I don't know the name of it

I think it may be 'Duranta' aka Golden Dewdrop.

I agree Duranta. You can cut it back and it also roots real easy!!!!
