How much humidity when overwinter epiphylliums?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

I've a handful of epi, some Ric Rac cactus. In general I understand cacti doesn't tolerate high humidity, but how about epiphylliums? My gh hygrometer reads above 80% most of the time even with fan running 24/7. Should I use a special area and control the humidity level to a lower reading, how low is ideal for epiphylliums? Your help is much appreciated.

All I know is my person experience. Epi's are jungle cactus and come from a high humidity area. Mine do great in the very high humidity that we have here in Florida. In fact by and large I think epis are the most forgiving of plants. One of my E. oxy's was left out all last winter, I had forgotten it, no protection, no watering, way too much sun and it survived and bloomed.

Thank you, Sandy. I'll move them into the gh.

I think it is watering and cold that is the biggest problem with growing epis. I will be glad when I get a true roof on my shade house. It is raining here.

My NBC, Queen of the Night, is noticed to put out new growths when keep on the dried side.

they love humidity. But, in the winter, I do not water all winter long. It is soooo humid in my greenhouse. They have gone down into the high 30s in my greenhouse on ocassion, and all my plants do fine.

Thank you, lismil they have relatively easy culture. I'm hooked on hookerii, lol. I don't yet have any colorful blooms varieties epi. But, it's mighty tempting.

I have one rhipsalis two pots of it now. Was a rescue and when I repotted it it seperated.. 18+ Christmas cactus and one Easter cactus, hopeful on getting more of them. Have not get into aporophyllums yet but have not got to many places yet to hang pots from. More than 200 epis. and looking at more once I get the green house finished. Plus a lot of other plants. They will just have to take there chance on the low temps the next 3 days. It is to get down to the low 30's BURRRRRRR!!!!
We usually do not get down to those temps until Jan or Feb.

I think I will move to Florida I hear it is warm there. Yell right!!!!! LOL
