CLOSED: Help ID the sound of aTexas Gulf Coast Bird or something

Beautiful Brazoria C, TX(Zone 9a)

At day break this AM I was startled by the sound of a giant rattlesnake-but no, not a rattler, the call sounded some what like automatic sprinklers starting up, lasted 3 to 5 seconds, then quiet, another burst of sound after about 20 seconds. On like this about 6 times. The local birds didn't seem to mind, the jays and mocking birds kept calling.

The sound came from a thicket of trees and shrubbery and such about 150 feet away on the edge of the field. We do live at the edge of a coastal migration fly zone and the Latin Grammys were in Houston last night. OK-I jest about the Grammy thing, but could it have been something other than a bird? I have never noticed the squirrels carry on thusly, and I have no photo or I would know if it be varmint, vermin or bird.

Carolina Wrens will make similar type sound.

At first blush I thought 'wren, cute little, sweet little, henny wren?' no way. But, I googled some and found a wide variety of call and sounds and such....that hedgerow is next to my potting shed and in years past wrens have nested in the strangest places including a plastic shopping bag that held rat traps.

That could have been a male letting everyone know that I left another plastic bag hanging on a nail and he was calling "Saves" or "dibs". The other nest was reused many times until the handle broke, what a way to recycle. Thank you for your help, I was certain it was the call of the chicken eating something monster.
