CLOSED: Gold finch?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

This little one was hunting for bugs in my flower bed this morning. I was delighted that it's stopped and allowed for picture taking.

me thinks you have a Ruby-crowned Kinglet there! Wait for a second opinion on that though!!

I had a couple and they stopped and pose for me too. But they are supposed to be difficult to photograph. I chalked it up to beginners dumb luck!!

Absolutly NOT a goldfinch..

It looks like a Ruby Crowned Kinglet...but I'm not an expert so will wait for the experts!

They must be passing through or seasonal migrating one. This is my first time seeing it in the garden. It did follow my Carolina wren (?) to the bird feeder then quickly flew off. I'll see if it come back to the feeder again. Thank you, if you're correct. I'll vote the two be be 'expert for the day'. lol. Thanks much.
