I recieved this start from a friend and she said the mother plant was Hoya rosary? Is this a cute name? or is this even a Hoya. it's realy hard to get a good picture because it is so dainty.
I welcome any input all of you can give me.
Thanks,
Betty
Hoya rosary?
It looks like Ceropegia woodii to me
Ceropegia woodii, common name "Rosary Vine": http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/53707/
Foliage resembles the Hoya curtisii: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/57686/
edited to say: I have not had any luck with either of them. :(

I grew it years ago and got a generous load of cuttings and a bulb early this year. It grew like mad, 15 pieces reaching 5 feet in the year and covered in little flowers..then about 3 months ago, half of it started to die off........not sure what I did wrong, but it didnt like something, and I dont think its herbacious.....or is it? Half is still alive, so hopefully it will come back. The little beads it forms along the stem, like ittle calluses are new young bulbs, and it should root easily from those

Thanks Guy's,
I'm disapointed it's not a Hoya. I did'nt think it was thats why I thought I would show you guy's a picture.
Sence it was given to me from a friend I best keep it she comes by quite often.
Again many thanks,
Betty
Betty, don't be disappointed that it's not a hoya. Ceropegia "Rosary Vine" is a really neat plant too!
Betty.......it can be grown in a small hanging pot and the leaves and stems will grow straight down and be covered in little flowers, no training, very tidy....it dosent take much room at all, but will grow down over 5 feet, so just trim it when it gets there.:))
