Hey everyone,

Project FeederWatch started on Saturday. Is anyone participating?

I wasn't aware of this count but I am going to read up on it and see if I can do it. Thanks for the info, Mrs. Ed.

you are welcome. I do the 3 day count in February but haven't attempted this one. I'm not sure if it would be too much for me or not.

I did it last year and will start again this coming weekend (missed last week). My feeders are too far from the house to watch, so I just sit in my vehicle for and hour or 2, usually on Sundays. I really, really enjoy it!

I would like to do this but my feeders are right outside my bay window where my computer is so I can watch them a lot but this Harrier Hawk is here going on 4rth yr and is taking all my pretty birds but I might try. BEV

I have commitment issues...but I will be doing the Great Backyard Count in February.
Neat hawk tho Bev.

LOL Nanny, does your DH know you have "commitment" issues?

I did the Big Sit that took place, last month I thing, and I usually do the GBBC in February, in fact, I plan to take off work those days to take part in that. This Feeder Watch does seem like a lot of work. I prefer to watch the birds and not have to keep up with the count. I'm pretty lackluster when it comes to updating my Life List, too.

yup!!

That is not a Harrier Hawk. Resin says he is a Sharp Shinned Hawk and he should know. Guess I will call him Sharpy! BEV
