Another Ebay confusion- That is not Rhapsody

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

There is currently an auction on ebay that claims to be selling Rhapsody. Beware!
This is not Rhapsody! Rhapsody is a pink single cross of Amber Rose x Butterfly by Ada Helms. The deformed orange double shown in the ebay auction does not look anything like the beautiful Rhapsody blooms.

Thanks, Gary. I seen this one and sent the seller an e-mail. I haven't heard back from them as of yet.

Gary I emailed Mike about this one, He didnt know Ada had one already named this he will change the name ..

This means he's making up the names as he goes along. My impression about Brugs with names was that the Brug was registered. Because of sellers like this, before I purchase from someone I am not sure about on e-Bay, I look for the name in the Brugmansia Register. Too bad too, because this seller sends out good healthy cuttings.

This seller registers MANY brugs each year and knows the routine. He also sells brugs and cuttings under two other aliases.

It's straightened out now. It wasn't a problem. He's such a nice guy.

that is how I got my first brug... on ebay.. and it was named versicolor peach, and then I fell in love, wrote the story and found out it wasn't a Versi Peach.. no more brugs from ebay for me.. how embarrassed I was to post that brug love story here on DG and be told it wasn't a peach versi after all...

I learned the hard way too, I bought some purple brug seeds from a guy on ebay, then found out through DG, there are no purple brug seeds. They are datura's, not brugmansia's...
We all live and learn.

Linda, I wish there WERE purple brugs..LOL I would buy a dozen! ;)

You and me both, but then we would be really broke! I bet if they ever developed a purple brug, it would cost plenty?
