Well here I go again, another rescued parrot.This bird is about 10+ yrs old and the owner that had him longest was an absolute creep with Ollie, slapped the bird,spit on him, etc. .The woman that rescued him, said 4 months ago he had hardly any feathers and was anti social.She got him calmed down and couldn't keep him as she worked too much.So he's here now. Named Ollie, he is growing his feathers back slowly and his social skills are returning.He will step up...most of the time. He loves peanut butter on bread, and loves riding on the top of the front seat in the car..I walked up to him and he liked me so she let me have him, I paid her for the cage and his toys.My Lexy (another macaw rescue a year ago) seems to notice, but not really want to be together for now.That may change, I will have HIM?? DNA'd to see what sex it is for sure.Was a handfed bird originally.Has a COLORFUL vocabulary to say the least.Glad no priests come over here. LOL
