what is the name of this plant ?

bought it at a local DIY store, no name tag found anywhere on pot.

It is a Philodendron - of the non split leaf type, but not sure which one. Looks to be arborescent (will form a small trunk).

i too was thinking some sort of Philodendron, but never seen one like this before. thanks for your info !

It is a philo I believe the common name for this one is Philodendron Congo. It is a older hybrid with possibly davidsonii as a parent plant. I have also seen a plant called Rojo Congo a red form very similar.
