Does anybody know what kind of roosters these are?

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

These roosters came from a rescue I made yesterday (see chicken coat thread for details).

Does anybody know what kind they are? Comments on the hen varieties also welcomed.

A really cool kind!?

The roo looks crele to me too The one light hen in front looks a lot like a Salmon Faverolle. Are her legs feathered--how many toes?

OoOo Ooh!! Now you got me going. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors chickens...(I'd drooled a little at her, but that's even less edifying than my rooster comment)

Catscan - are you saying both roos are crele? Their coloring is not really the same, although some characteristics are similar.

Here is the cream hen. 4 toes. Probably just barnyard mix.

there is a nice laced gold/black girl behind her to her right.

No, just the second roo. I don't know what you would call the first.

The little light hen is very pretty. Does she get a coat?

Isn't there a fighting game or leg horn that looks like the crelle one.
I swear i have seen and this makes the 6th one i've seen like it has to be some kind of breed.

He's a big guy isn't he Claire kind of stands upright and is proud of himself if he doe's i've seen 6 just like him.

Heres one only smaller

Rooster 2 is definitely crele coloured. Not sure of breed. He has a pea comb, which is not a common gamebird comb. The hen has white earlobes; I didn;t pay attention to the roos lobes, But if white that will narrow down hte breed possibilities quite a lot.

The hen isn't salmon; I don't think she is a recognised colour. Pretty, though.

Thanks all - I'm glad to have a crele rooster. He is very handsome. Red earlobes though. I suppose he might be some sort of mix of breeds but came out essentially crele coloured. I definitely noticed his unusual comb.

He also has very minimal wattles. Does that help narrow him down?

I will try to take another picture of the comb tomorrow, closer up.

The first roo is similar in some of its colouring but definitely a very different comb and huge wattles more like a regular ol' breed.

Yes Harmony - he does stand up straight and tall and parades himself around a lot. Looks very similar to that pic you posted, but like his big brother!

Oh, and I forgot, the cream hen doesn't get a coat - she's in remarkably good shape and doesn't have much feather loss. I think she has bumble foot but that's about all.

Hi CMoxon! That first Roo looks like a Redstar Sexlink cross. Very large and beautiful. That second one looks like a real wierdo. Lol. The first one was breathtakingly beautiful. Haystack.

i would say that the cream hen is an ameracauna...maybe cross! the roos look alot like sexlink birds! they can come in amazing colours! there may be some cuckoo maran in there because that can sometimes create the creole looking coloring! correct me if im wrong but where i come from there is no such thing as a creole breed! creole is a colour pattern and not a breed! is that different elsewhere?

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

As I understand it, crele (without the O) is a color variation.

Creole (with the O) is different from crele. Creole is a breed of chicken that is a game bird type, I believe.

creoles are fighting roosters. i dunnlo if they are an official breed but a lot of the guys who had fighters around here had creoles and grays and a bunch of others i couldnt even begin to tell ya the names of
