I think your fine image of this clone of Winterberry Holly (Ilex verticillata 'Hoogendorn') rightly belongs in that PlantFile entry, rather than here under Japanese Holly (Ilex crenata) - which is an evergreen species.

This is definitely the Winterberry Holly, probably 'Red Sprite.' Japanese Holly bears black fruit.

The plant is certainly Ilex verticillata 'Hoogendoorn'. The OP erroneously posted this image under the Ilex crenata PlantFiles entry, and the Admin staff has yet to correct that error.
