Someone posted about these pots on the container forum. Anyone have opinions? I'll be needing to put up a couple of my trees next year and thought these might be a possibility. I like the fact that they store flat, so don't take up room until you need them.

From what I read they seem like they would be ok during the summer your going to have to water more. I just ordered frost cloth. getting to not like this time of year. The only thing I think about that there fabric how long will it hold up? The suns rays here destroy everything the black pots are what i use there free.
Good points. When I read further, I began to think about how plumeria love heat from the bottom and how this would be diminished?
Still, the description of improved root growth sure sounds good.
For me here in Fla I wouldn't have to water every couple days here in the heat wonder if they would wilt in between watering?
Dana,
Frost cloth will hold up for years if you put it inside a dry plastic bag and store it in a shed for the summer.
Kaper,
I have seen and bought plants in the containers you are considering. They are not as easy to move around as the more 'traditional' black plastic. I think you will find that if you try and move the grow bag before the plumeria has rooted throughout the bag the soil will shift, distrubing the root system. It takes two people to move the plants when the are young so make sure they are going to stay in place for a long time (months) after you plant them. And you can't move them with a dolly no matter what their age.

Ah-ha! I was afraid of something like that, Dale. Thanks for the info.
dale I was talking about the containers not the frost cloth lol
That's very pretty, Dale, what is it?
dale, the strawberry begonia is not blooming now, is it? seems like mine bloom in summer. I'm glad to see yours looks happy in a shallow container. I may try that.
