Has anyone else found H lacunosa 'Borneo' easier to grow that H lacunosa? I should have added that I have, so far, found it a much less difficult plant to grow...or at least get established

H lacunosa 'Borneo'
Hmmmmm...do you have a picture of it, Dom? Is it lacunosa or nabuanensis? Would love to see a picture.
Im doubting this is a lacunosa......came from a reliable source, but Ive never seen 'Borneo' grow, however, this has much stronger growth than my other lacunosas ( thankfully )but the leaves arent lacunose at all.......... Never heard of H nabuanensis, Carol, but I pulled a small pic off the internet connected to Aloha, and, from what I could make out, theres a similarity, tho mine hasnt flowered to verify.
Dominic
I have a hoya that I think might be yours.
This hoya is an as yet unnamed species. I purchased it by the tag of:
Borneo 80-03, "possibly tjadsmalangensis".
The leaves look similar to yours. If you get a bloom, we can know for certain, here is a photo of the bloom on mine:

That photo and tjad are as different as night and day. When I get back I will take photos of my H. nabuanensis...it IS from Borneo...nice flower. It likes less light than H. lacunosa and likes to grow a bit drier.
What is the #08-03? Who is it from?
Edited after I looked at the picture in photobucket...it is neither H. nabuanensis nor H. tjademanguensis...lovely flower tho'!!!

I bought it in Central FL. The only other place I have seen reference to "unnamed species Borneo 80-03" was on the list from the gentleman (Ted someone??) who sells online (not David Liddle in Australia) when I did a search to try to find out more about it. I'v enever looed at photos of tjadsmalangensis, and I didn't find online photos of Borneo 80-03 to compare to either
Does anyone have a picture of H lacunosa 'Borneo' ? which looks different?
Dom...as far as I know, there is no 'real' H. lacunosa 'Borneo'. At least...none that grow there!!!! When I get home I will send a photo of the nabuanensis. Am in New Zealand at the moment.
Okey dokey....:))
H. tjad..... looks like H. aff. latifolia - it has palmate venation, very large leaves, is quite thick leafed and the flowers are few on many small umbels (too long in NZ, can't remember the terminology!!!)...as different from H. lacunosa as chalk is from cheese.
You might check Christina's website for a photo of H. nabuanensis....
this is the source of where mine came from......my leaves are growing much longer than Rosita's photo, tho that may be due to my environment

Hmmmmmsure looks to me like H. walliniana. Will check when I get home....
