Someone was advertising one of these for sale the other day and when I saw it I thought WHAT!, I have never heard if such a tree so I googled it and was surprised to find that they do exist, after looking at one I think they are a gorgeous tree, and pink to start with to boot !!

They are wonderful trees Kell! Hopefully that one in the picture is yours! If not, you should get one. Same for you flowerfantasy, ahltough i'm not sure what zone you are in compared with it's hardiness.

You would think I would so need a PINK tree, wouldn't you all? LOL

Of course! It turns green typically by around late June, early July, if you're thinking that a pink tree is going to clash with everything. At least for me it's around then. Actually this year mine are holding on to their leaves longer than most of the other plants, which is nice. I've been surprised by this.

I think that particular tree would clash with our garden size!

Everything clashes with our garden size, Sue. LOL

I know, so depressing.

This would probably grow here. Where can I buy one?

Washington, IN(Zone 6a)

Well if this will tell you about the hardiness of them, there is 2 in the upper New England areas. One in a botanical garden in New Jersey if I remember right and the other one is in Connecticut or it just might be the other way around but which ever they are in some of the coldest regions in North America

No I didn't buy it but I might have if I would have had time to get it in the ground but here where I live it is starting to get a little to cool to plant that particular tree.

If you type the name into a search engine, you will find a couple of places that sell it. At first I typed it into google and the first five or six pages of results were mostly european (if it was someplace selling them). I tried typing it into yahoo and a few nurseries appeared on the second and third pages of results.
