I know it's probably a long shot - but I'm going to try it anyway! :)) If you have a 'spare' cutting - please shoot me an email! :)) Maybe we can do a trade - or postage would be fine too! See my trade list! Have a great day!!

WANTED: Brugmansia 'Rothkirch!' :))
Hey Mike!!
I saw one on ebay this morning!! You may want to check it out!!
Kylie
Mike lovely pic, all of your bruggie cuttings I got are doing beautiful, did you get the second shipment of passis??
Normally I would say be wary because scam artist know what's hot out there and may throw NOID cuttings with names of the things we want, HOWEVER I personally know this seller and I can tell you that she is honest, reputable and if she says they are Rothkirch cuttings, you can bet on it! Go for it. Profits from her sales are going to charity also.
That is Very Cool to know!!! Thanks.. I hear these can be Brats... are they difficult to root?
Kylie
Thanks for that bit of information X. I looking too , but Mike asked first, so if he don't take a crack at it I will.
Thanks for the plug Gary!
Mary
As far as being hard to root - she can be. I was just talking about it with someone yesterday, and this is what I told her: I've air layered a couple of them and have rooted 4-5 in water, and 2-3 in well drained soil with lots of perlite. Funny thing is, before I knew of it's reputation I rooted several and gave them away. Another time I broke a piece and stuffed it in the ground next to it's mother, and it rooted fine. Since I learned they were hard I've had 3 failures along with the successes. Wish no one had told me. LOL
Mary there are too many scam artists out there ready to take our money. At least if the people know that the seller is reliable then they can bid with confidence.
LOL isn't that the way it goes.....Like you out working break a piece of Brug plunk it in the ground and it took off.. Bring the dang thing in and Baby it.. turns to mush...This time of yr with the cooler temps and shorter days for me seems to make some more difficult.. I prefer to root in the growing season..
BUT would love to have this one...LOL I am watching it.. Good Luck you guys!!
Kylie
I am bidding on it..
Elva
Kylie - I've checked it out! Passed on it to another member! :)) Thanks for pointing it out to me though! Did you get your package??
Clemen - Got it!! :)) Also sent you an email this morning! Did you receive it?
xeriscape8321 Thanks for the info! It's a plus in my book if Charity gets a little something! :)
Mary - Thanks for the tips!
Elva - Good luck to you!
I didn't realize I was opening a can of worms just asking for one tiny 'sliver' of a 'Rothkirch! lol!
Good luck to whomever wins it! And with the money going towards Charity - that's a good thing!! :))
Mike
I for one glad ya asked, cuz I didn't know the seller or lot of other sellers on there and got burned bad one year form a seller from like almost 100 assorted supposedly rare bulbs that wer enot only what they weren't suppose dot be , but were all old and rotted and then to top it off they said they had neve received money order and after doign trace they had and tryign to pull that will all the folks bidding on their stuff. Alot of us got burned big time and I stayed off ebay for years until now and leanring about the good ones.
Mary that is so great what you are doing. So many of the food banks are struggling and it hard watchign folks being turned away. I know when I have extra produce I take it to mine but had never thought of using plants to help them raise money. Thanks for being a caring person, somebody will have a meal or two thanks to your generosity.
Sorry folks, not that MIke not in it and especially since it for charity, I jumping in. Good luck to all and Mary bes twishes for your charity. : )
I have not had much trouble rooting RK either. Just I never have enough cuttings for those who ask .. lol
I did not check the Ebay sale, but it would be best to receive a RK already rooted.
Those I have shared unrooted cuttings, have almost never gotten them rooted .. ????????
Save space for me Mike I'll bring the coffee...LOL!
Good Luck to whoever bids!!!
Kylie
I've been looking for a rooted Rothkirch for at least 2 years. I was so tempted with this one, think I'll continue to look for a rooted one.
I killed a few RK cuttings last year and I almost never kill any -not even the tiniest green ones LOL!
~Lenette
Don't know who won it, but congrats to them. I was kicking myself, cuz I didn't make it in time. Forgot about the time difference thing. Well glad somebody got it and the charity got a gift too.
I have found that cuttings just do not root as well this time of year. I would not spend money on unrooted cuttings until April or May. Freebies always seem to take off and root. Ones I pay for seem much more likely to die.
I didnt win the bid, I was at my MIL bedside as she was on her death bed and we didnt get home till late..
Oh sorry to here about your Mother. I know how rough that can be.
Maybe if any of us sees another offered, we can let each other know.
Oh Elva! I am sooo sorry to hear about your MIL.. My thoughts and Prayers are with you...
Kylie
So am I. No luck so far.
same here still looking
The cutting I stuck in with the mother plant died. It's all shriveled up. I think it was too young for the nights we had in the 20's a few weeks ago. Sorry Elva.
:0( sorry to hear that Mary.. I guess I will keep om looking
Thanks
elva
