Smaller growing Brugs!

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Could you please help me make a list of Brugs that are smaller growing for those of us who are dealing with limited space but are hooked on Brugs and want to add more to their collection? Your help will be appreciated.
Thanks JB

Inca Sun is supposed to remain smallish. http://www.logees.com/prodinfo.asp?number=R1124-4

One way you can deal with limited space is to take cuttings from above the "Y" to start a new plant for the following year and get rid of the current older one after you are sure at least some of the cuttings have rooted and are on their way. Taking the cuttings from above the "Y" will give you blooms a lot sooner the following year.

Thanks Bettydee...that will be the first on my list. Don't you love Logee's?

As bettydee said if you can obtain or make cuttings from above the Y you will dwarf the height of the plant.

JB, I know of Antique Lace, Cassie's Curls', Golden Lady, Pink Smitty, Enchanted ...they are all under 4 foot with buds or blooms on them for me... I think Jamies Monkey Business is a smaller one..

Also Cherub, Puppy Love, and Sweatheart.

Hey Ladies, you are wonderful. I now have a list made and I can not wait to have time to check Logee's to see what they have that I can buy. I love these big beauties. Thank you so much. I will keep you posted on the other list as to what I finally get.

Hey Jb go look in the plant files and you will see in the Brugs ...approx hts given. Go look just to enjoy ^_^

DG Marketplace has brugs for sale.

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

NO.. not Chrub..really...a small plant... not here... here she is one of the bigger growing brugs... not only tall...at over 7'.. but perhaps the biggest thing around putting out multiple stalks and filling up a large area..
Most any can be grown small..if you provide poor conditions for them.. decreased light .. water .. food will surely keep them small.. all of the ones I have...growing with morning glories growing above... around and through them are all quite small....

here's cherub here.. the camera wasat about 8' elevation..and the plant is easily also that tall

I agree with Gordon, Cherub can be a monster. Mine is just under 10 feet tall. I have lots of varieties growing in the ground here in Central Florida and some of the ones that have stayed under five feet tall with no pruning include:

Inca Sun
Lemon Twist
Cassies Curls
Tootsie
L'Amour
Solid Gold

Hope this helps.

Wow, the Cherub is beautiful and massive. Thanks Fred, Gordon, Crissy and Crazy for your comments and help. I will start my research now that the election is over and I can tear myself away from the TV. You are all so helpful and I do appreciate all the help I can get. JB

OH NOOOOOOOOOOO I'll have to find a new home for mine.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

Not if you take cuttings from the top every year, root them and start with small plants every year. Since they would be from above the "Y" they will bloom for you.

It is a small plant now and I reall like it. It's blooming in the basement. So I'll take cuttings next year.

Sorry about the wrong info.

Peanut stays fairly well behaved. Mine grew alot more when I put her in the ground but still not a major big grower.
