I have had this plant 1 year - it was 12" tall when I purchased it. As you can see it is doing very well in my climate. I want to purchase lots more - but I purchased this one from an arboretum. Does any one know the name of this plant?
Can you help me Identify this plant?
Monstera deliciosa
You are the best - I just LOVE this plant....its so gorgeous.
You know - I was unsure of this plant in its immature form, then people started telling me that I had a Monstera - nwhich I was really wanting for my garden. The leaves look completely different - are undivided, and truly look like a philodendron when young.
I finally got one leaf to split, but the latest leaves have been entire and not at all large. I'll believe it when I wee it. Feeding it a lot of blood meal scratched into the soil to give it a Nitrogen boost.
Edited for bad grammar.

I've read that all parts of this beautiful plant (Monstera deliciosa) are poisonous.
The fruit is eatable and taste like slimy candy. The plant can grow very fast and will produce more holes if climbing. Once it produces these larger leaves with holes it can be cut and replanted and will not lose this look unlike many others that would revert back to juvenile form. I would suggest heavy feeding if you would like for it to spread rapidly it can really move if given the space and food.
Well - it has lots of room to grow. Lots.
What do I feed it. I started it in a pot and I just planted it into the ground AFTER I just saw that it requires an acidic soil. My soild is alkaline. I was thinking of I add my coffee grounds to the soil - maybe that will help - or should I pull it out of the ground and put it back in the pot? I was feeding it liquid miracle grow every 14 days before I planted it in the ground.
