DeRidder, LA(Zone 9a)

Christa, you are one of the best on growing Monikas hybrids! I could look at your photos all day long. I think the Editor of Trumpeter should publish a special series on your beautiful "Monika" brugmansia photos. It would not only be a special tribute to Monika, but show some of the knowledge that went into her breeding program....She has achieved such different looks & colors....and the fragrance of her brugmansias has me spoilt to those German brugs growing in my GH.

My goal is that one day I'll get a beautiful cross from one of Monikas Hybrids......lol, and grow those brug trees as tall as you do.

Thanks for sharing those beautiful photos.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

Wow you do a great job growing those. I have seen others you grew. Monika awesome job. and you also for growing out such a beautiful flower and so far south gives me hope.

Thanks for sharing.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)

Seeing all these beautiful brugs from Germany makes me want to go back and visit there again. : )

Christa, do you just grow them out or do you work with them too. Do you give yours any special type of food or treatment that makes them grow so good or do you just have that magic touch when it comes to brugs? Yours are so nice and healthy looking.

Forgot to say, I am sorry for being rude and gettign off track on your other thread.

Thnak you much, it looks like this is another one well suited for the hotter climate, she is on the west side and has full sun in the afternoon.

Brussels, Belgium

Yeah, this one is a stunner for sure. I like the way the calyx on that one is pointing straight up. Is that a seed pod inside the calyx or am I just wishing a bit too much...

Dunedin, FL

You are correct Eric, there is actually a Seedpod growing, i had told Monika how the Bees, had been going in and out from Belle Amour to Marbach to Grazie and back to Belle Amour, so we shall see if she holds on.

Seale, AL(Zone 8b)
