Anyone have any idea whats wrong with Sarasa Comet

Powhatan Point, OH(Zone 6a)

My big sarasa around 8 inches was on her side yesterday at the bottom no movement other than gills and mouth. She wasnt gulping just slow and steady. I tried to get her moving and nothing worked so I put her in my small pond. She floated on her side all day and when I went out this morning she is swimming around with the smaller fish like nothing was ever wrong. I checked her completely over no wounds no sign of parasites color was good she looks completely normal. All my other fish are ok. Any ideas? Ted

Ted, Have you checked the ammonia level in your pond? If being in different water perked your fish up, that could be a semi-easy fix, although with other fish being fine, it may not be that either. Remember in Ohio, the water is getting chilly, so you need to cut back on the food, the fish wont be able to digest it, and it builds toxicity inside their intestines.

Thought of that merry and I havnt fed for around a week and a half since water went below 50. Also tested water and all is in level. The other thought I have had is that maybe there getting caught against the pump. I checked this evening and a smaller one was stuck down by it and as soon as I moved him he swam off ok. Just seems wierd they havnt had a problem until now.
