My brother's mini dachsund lost her appetite and became lethargic Monday. She died yesterday.
In between she developed vomiting, bloody diarrhea, thirst and kidney failure.
THe vet did extensive testing and found inflamed kidneys, but no underlying cause for why this happened.
To me it sounded like melamine poisoning, but I have not heard of any recent problems or recalls.
The dog was in Ft Worth Texas and had recently been switched to "Authority" senior dog food.
Has anyone heard of any problems recently with dog food? ANy tips would be appreciated!!
