I am not sure if this is the forum for this question but would like to ask to see if anyone has answers. I miss tasting the plantains and there are some good indian recipes from southern india. But I am unable to find green plantains here from our grocery stores incl whole foods, asian stores etc. By the time the plantains arrive from Ecuador ..etc they have yellowish ness which makes them sweet and therefore are not good for cooking. The indian cooking requires that they are GREEN and tart. Is there anyone that can give me suggestions on how to obtain the fresh/green plantains?
