Sad news

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

I have a rooster that got out and was killed by the dang dogs, poor buckeye, they got into the yard at the 5th wheel. His name was Apricot and he was so pretty.

So sorry for your lose.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

So sorry Luvs, that is heart breaking.

Eagle, ID

I am sorry too. I have had dogs, hawks and even snakes kill many chickens of mine. One was such a sweetheart and good protector and it broke my heart. It is sad to have to keep them locked up because of other animals but I have found it is the only way to protect mine. What breed was Apricot?

Conroe, TX

Oh how awful. I am so sorry and I know how you feel. It is heartbreaking.

He was a buckeye.

I am not sure what a buckeye looks like. I will have to check it out. When you are ready I would love to hear more about him, antics, crowing ect...

He was meaner than a snake to me. But today he was so nice to me. Dang it he was so pretty.

Lodi, United States

Apricot is Tamara's rooster.

So sorry Luvs if it ain't one thing it's another.

(Tia) Norman, OK(Zone 7a)

That is the truth. I just hope things settle down here soon. I am sure it will.

Eagle, ID

I am glad you were able to get the other chickens out, when a dog gets going it is really hard to stop them.
