Plowing up the lower 40....

Linden, TN

Hubby has taken note of all the wonderful variety of new brugs that are coming in the mail.... and he wanted to know if he had to "plow up the lower 40 for me".... He said too, "Honey you got the start of a great Brug farm there it looks like !!" LOL What a funny man... but I think he is starting to get the "fever".....

I have "Neemed" all the cuttings and got them all nice and warm and cozy in H202 n H20 and on a nice long bench under my bedroom window where they can get some nice afternoon bright light.... through my mini blinds and my lacy curtains.

If even half of them "take" then I will be a happy camper...

Oh my Carolyn... both of you getting brug fever??? Best be plowin', I'd say! lol. I think it's great your DH is taking an interest.. have you shown him any bloom pics?? Do you grow other flowers?

Aunt B ~ Yes, we love Iris, Daylilies, Hostas, Hardy Hibiscus and really love all sorts of gardening... Veggies included... I am thinking it is probably good that we only have 7 acres on which to plant.. lol... otherwise he would be plowing up the "lower 40"..

He loved the one Brug that I inherited from my mom when it bloomed this summer.. Many times he would walk into the kitchen when the window was open and comment on the sweet scent... and that was my one and only Brug..

He even offered to build me a nice grow rack.. with shop lights.. and we already have a couple of shop lights to get started with.. I was wanting something like that to get my tomatos, peppers and a few other veggies started too.. so this will be fun fun fun... I can put the grow racks right in the same room as my vermiculture bins..

Life is good, so very very good. and I praise God for all these blessings.... and y'all are part of my blessings.

Carolyn you are a girl after my own heart ...even as we chat my hubby has just had the post holes dug for my new Angel's acre ...I hope I can stop at one acre ...I agree with you ...life is good and blessings are many here in daves garden.

chrissy, you'll have to post photos when you have that acre planted. How do you cope with weeds and invasive grasses?

Horses ...ha ha ha ...gonna have to fence them out though ...can't have them chomping on the Angels, I will grow them in built up gardens and have some sort of gravel walkway. Right now I have crushed sandstone walkways in some places but eventually it crumbles down to sand.
