I would like to trade for Calidums if I can!
I have way to many bulbs.. most babies.
They will grow fast! A baby bulb becomes a mother bulbs in about 3 years!
Mine are a few years old and I have lots of mothers. Mine have put out lots of babies.
Lilium longiflorum (Easter Lily Bulbs)
I have one variety of caladiums to trade for some. it is in a pot currently I love easter lilies.
In case anyone is interested.
There is a new hybrid lily Longiflorum x Asiatic (LA for short) that does well in the deep south, including all of FL. .......Longiflorum is the Easter lily.
See it here> http://www.johnscheepers.com/catview.cgi?_fn=Product&_category=Lilies:Longiflorum
I have them. The grow and multiply fast.
well then Dale.. why Don't I have one!!! lol
Because you were asking for Caladiums....I thought that anyway.
They have some LA lily bulbs for sale at http://www.johnscheepers.com/catview.cgi?_fn=Product&_category=Lilies:Longiflorum
I quit trading years ago after I sat down and did a cost/benefit anaylsis. I figured out that I was spending an hour or two of my time (@ $30 an hour), money for postage/boxing/padding and vehicle expenses to get a couple of plants that only cost $4-5 retail.
I just buy what I need now a days because it ends up being cheaper and I get full sized blooming plants.
I love lilies!
I trade just because I can't keep all the plants.. The EE's will take over if I don't pluck out the pups! lol
My mom wanted Cal's so I did a trade just for that.. otherwise... I order all my boxes online from USPS... they are free... and I love to share!
I'm sure If I did the same as you... I would know it is not cost effective.
