barely breathing --
Then shoot!
You drag your captive image to your lair, where
you're surprised to find
a headless bird is standing there!

Turkey vultures, a grackle and an owl --- perfect Nanny! They'd be great even if they had heads, but headless -- WOW!

Great ones guys! So cute Dave!

Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Look at Dave -- scarin' up a bluebird! Love the decorations!

I've always wanted a bird feeder that looked like the head of the woman in the movie 'The Birds.' I wanted her screaming with her hands up and the birds feeding out of the top of her head. Wouldn't that be hilarious? OK, maybe that one's just for freaks like me!

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

This is a great idea, only problem is that I hardly ever keep these photos! Wonderful photos everyone!!

I got this Bald Eagle-sort of- yesterday during a rain.

I can't believe I gave away all my candy -- how am I supposed to fatten up for winter? Really nice kids this year though and nice parents.

Y'alls pics are so much fun!
Mrs Ed, Frankenstein has nothing on your creature creations! That is so frightfully funny!
Nanny, you're killing me with those owl shots. I want one!
Frank, Count Dracula is such a perfect fit!
Crazybirdlady, love the mad mocker! Mockingbirds are always a hoot!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

Frank, I swear that had to have been the inspiration for the old silent movie!

Fox Island, WA(Zone 8b)

This is hilarious, what a good idea. I only had one trick-or-treater, so now I am left with a bowl of butterfingers, kit kat, and M&M's..... oh my! I will be quite plump by the end of the year.

Linthicum Heights, MD(Zone 7a)

I've been photographing Bald Eagles the last two days. Little did I know that this one would be worthy of a post.

OMG! That bald eagle REALLY looks headless! What a spooktacular shot!

Rntx, I'm so jealous that you have candy left! I think I had close to 100 kids. In fact, this one little girl was just in love with my dogs and didn't want to leave. Her mom told her she had to get out of the way because there was a "mob" of people waiting. I looked up and sure enough there were parents and kids lined up down my walkway. It was fun.

These photos aren't "keeper's" for me. I take a lot of headless Bald Eagles, especially flight shots.
