Is it vital to change the water with the H202 in it daily? Or can it go like 2 days inbetween refreshing it? Also, I have been putting about a tsp. per quart of water.. is that enough? And I must use city water with all the stuff they put into the water.. is that okay to use too?
Thanks folks,
Carolyn
H202 Water change
Carolyn, there's nothing wrong with using city water. I suppose if we had nothing more to do than change the water then yes, change it, but realistically, every few days is fine. I let water clarity guide what I do. I suggest taking a quick look at the water daily. Some water jars remain clear. Adding a few drops of hydrogen peroxide will help keep the water clear. This is what I do if the water becomes cloudy. I add between 1 - 2 tbl of H2O2 to the jar of water and let it stand about 15 min. Then I take the cuttings and rinse them in running water and wash the jar before refilling it with fresh water/H2O2. I've lost very few cuttings. Where I lose them is in the first pot stage. I can count on losing 1 or 2, but the great majority live. That's when I do the "It lives" dance. LOL

Thank you so much... that really helps me figure stuff out... I am afraid I will be making a pest of myself with all my questions.. but I really want to start out on the right foot...

Don't worry about asking questions. That's how we get answers! LOL. Whenever you have time, search through old threads for some great info.
