Breeding for more egg production

Ok what would you breed to produce the perfect large egg layer in brown and white eggs.
The final breed will be for eating eggs.
At 1st would hatch to make the best layers.

Breed an Ameraucana rooster (said to be golden laced true bird)???? to a Brown Leghorn hen. Would produce large blue eggs at 5-6 a week?

Breeding Ameraucana rooster to BR hen to get Big beautiful blue egg?

Also, is there such a thing as over stressing the birds by breeding egg laying back into them?

From what I understand, when you breed a blue egg layer roo to a brown egg layer hen, the resultant pullets will lay green eggs.

blue layer to brown layer give OD green. Good if you are in the military.

what I was told is what the rooster is that breeds the hen, that is what color egg they will lay???????????? Well once that chick is hatched that is. That chick will lay the daddy's color egg????

Citra, FL

Thats not true. Breeding a blue egg layer to a brown one changes the egg color of the resulting birds to green.

Ti, look at the most popular forum pic -there are 3 eggs there that could be BR/ ameraucana cross, 3 that could be B leghorn/ameraucana. the blue egg thing is dominant, but brown needs to be bred out or diluted to avoid that lovely army green color. And yes, my BBEBH was right along these lines. A meaty layer that was autosexing and laid blue eggs. I'm out of commission until it's warm enough for chicks on that project though...:-(
