I have seeds for sowing. I use the hips themselves for making jam or syrup. They're packed full with vitamins....

would u share some seeds for postage or trade? Thanks Connie

Would love to trade! I have three species of rose: R. Canina, R. Rugosa and R. Pimpinellifolia. All three are species, i.e. native roses, with hips that are suitable for jam-making!

They need to stratified, so you best sow them now and put them outside for germination next spring......

Hughconnie-You should be able to go for a dountry drive and see some wild roses along fence lines. They are usually loaded with hips at this time of year.Might even be a couple weeks late. They are about thumbnail size & bigger-bright red.No mistaking a rose bush-the wild ones all have thorns.
