Note the length of one side of this main leaf, a definate sign of buds to appear.

Gorgeous blooms!! Ugh, so much to learn about these beauties...i.e. "Note the length of one side of this main leaf, a definate sign of buds to appear." I've got to pick up on some of this info...mercy as I was trimming leaves when I brought mine in last night - I did the unspeakable...snipped off not one but two baby buds...ugh!!!

Nice.............who is the first picture of?

Hi brugie, that is the top of the Golden lady that got torn up in a storm, the first brug I ever got. the others are cut from her broken trunk

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

My golden lady hasn't bloomed yet this season but from what i remember from last years blossoms golden lady's blooms are more nodding than pendant (I could be wrong though). The blooms you show Kareoke are definitely pendant blooms. Does anybody else have golden lady blooms or pictures for comparison?

OK is my face red, you bet, my daughter is here and she said dig in the dirt and see if a label came off, maybe it's not golden lady, she was right,we found the tag it has the tag from Botanical Gardens and it says it is a double peach, now so far it is not peach it is faintly off white or very light yellow, does anyone have this brug and can you tell me what it looks like, the second picture opened this morning and that is definately Golden lady. I guess at 82 my memory is a little off *LOL*

A double peach sounds wonderful ...doubles throw singles sometimes and quite often blooms start out white or cream and change in a day or two.

I have native habitat double peach and let me tell you that what you have there is 100 times better than that. Native Habitat double peach has large beautiful blooms when it does finally set flowers but it drops so many buds that a beautiful flush on a little plant like yours is rare. Whatever you have there is quite beautiful. There are other double peach varieties that I don't have and have never seen bloom in person. I wish my native habitat looked like yours.......
