I was so happy with the way my Romaine was coming along, then we got a strong rain one night and as I was checking the next day to see that they made it through I found two of the plants leaning over. Within a day or so there were several leaning and I noticed that they were leaning because the plant had grown taller than the ground and that the weight of the leaves is what made them fall over. I'm wondering if possibly it had nothing to do with the rain and that they just bolted on me since it was still somewhat warm when I put them in the ground. I sure hope not, because now it's most of them.
Should I just start over? Romaine does grow pretty fast.
Bolted Romaine?
I can't tell. Maybe taste a leaf to see if it's bitter?
