CLOSED: Anyone have trades with...
I checked the Indiana subscriber's list and don't see that name. If she was a paid subscriber, maybe she let her subscription lapse. If that is the case she can still access the Plant Trading and other free forums.
I checked and she I think it said she was removed. I had a trade with her that she never fulfilled her end on. Just wondered if anyone else had a problem or knew if she was now using another name.

I don't know, I've never heard of her. I know I read about folks apparently making purchases on the DG Marketplace, and never returning to finish the sale, which causes a problem for the seller who I guess removes it from the listing and then when the person never returns or pays for an item they have to go back and re-list it again.
We all take chances when we make trades here on-line. I'm sorry she never fulfilled her end of the trade with you. It's unfortunate when that happens. Before agreeing to a trade, if you don't know someone it's always good to go to their home page and check feedback left by others. And, we do need to be wary ... I have heard that there are folks who sign up just for that reason, to get free plants, never to return again.
If Admin. removed her from the site, it was for a good reason. There are Acceptable Use Policies which we all must abide by to stay on DG.
I also did a trade with this person..i sent my end out on 9/3/08 ( 5 items) and even sent her a confirmation Number by d-mail so she could track her package if she wanted. I to this date have not received her end of trade
Uh Oh, sounds like she was someone who was a scammer. It makes me wonder how many other people sent plants to her in a trade and never heard anything again? I bet that is why she is no longer on DG. Maybe a few people reported her to Admin. and they removed her from the site. It's a shame if she scammed folks out of plants and thinks it's okay. In my book it's stealing. I usually give folks the benefit of the doubt and think that maybe something happened, family issues, health issues etc. But, if this has happened at different times with different folks, I think it was a scam. Hopefully she won't sign up with a new username to do more one ended trades.
Were these trades done on a regional forum or the Plant Trading Forum? I hope if she is out there and "lurking" she will realize what she is doing is very wrong.
mine trade was on plant trading forum...i was interested in some astilbe she had and she looked over my tradelist and told me what she wanted to trade for ..I sent hers and thats all..I d-mailed a couple times but got no response so i just let it go as a chance you take i guess..I would hate to think they are people here just for free plants..That's just wrong to take advantage of others who are willing to share/trade something that costed the original person... I love this community..even if i have nothing of interest for someone that has items I want I always reimburse postage cost..even that is most of the time less than what you would pay if you purchased yourself..Great example...I recently received about 8 diferent daylilly bulbs for postage reimbursement...I think the postage was around $7.00 but the bulbs were really good sized...try going to Lowes etc and getting that many (if you could get the size in bulbs) for that price
