Morning everyone.....
Want to say how disappointed I am that I can't make it today to meet with Bonnie and the new little cowboy kitty, Stetson..normally I have days that I have nothing planned but sure as shootin' as soon as there is something I really want to do, I usually have another committment that cant be changed..Sure hope Melva gets her car fixed so she can make it..
Its really been nice the last few days. I have spent a lot of time outside getting things put away for winter..transplanting daylilies from front to back, planting more irises to get them out of pots. DH dug up another bed for me, I seriously ran out of room here. He also finally finished the roofing job on the patio so I was moving plants in there, too...such a mess everywhere when we moved everything out..The big plants will go into the patio closest onto the house (patio #1) while the hanging ones are in the next one (patio #2) .
There are times I wished I lived in a little warmer zone where I could leave everything out all winter. It would be a lot easier. I am whittling down my plants this year, if they dont look good they are making the trip into the compost. I just dont want to be fussing with some of them all the time. That was the main reason I got rid of all the brugmansia..they were just too high maintenence. Everyonce in while I divide the ones that tend to propagate freely then offer them on freecycle..like aloe..boy, you start with one plant and turn your back..look back and there are 10 in that pot. I have a few like that, dont need that many plants.
Kiddens have been outside with me, they have been so good. The first day we were out several hours and Tommy didnt go over the fence at all...yesterday, after a couple hours, he lost his mind and away he went. I got him almost immediately and he was grounded after that. He keeps saying he forgets he isnt allowed over the fence..even told me that he had ADD..(what a little guy, huh?) Floozy and Bitsi are so satisfied to stay in the back yard..I probably could leave them out all day..but I dont...only when I go out are they allowed to be out.
