So, I had these three roos and I thought two were chickens. I guess I was so good to them I fell in favor with the dear CF.
I finally found someone who wanted the two RIRs, I kept the BR. He said he had some chickens and would sell me a couple but we could never get together. This was 1-2 weeks ago.
My son called me from work this morning and said we had chickens!! I hadn't been to the coop for a couple of days so I went back there and sure enough there were 2 beautiful hens with my roo!!!
The guy finally just brought them over and left them when we weren't here. He stopped by the feed store where my son works this morning and asked him how we liked the chickens. My son told him we didn't have any yet and he said yes you do.
When I called him to thank him he said he picked out a couple of his better looking ones and just brought them over. They are about 6-7 months old so they should start laying when they get used to the place. One is a red star and the other is a cross between a RIR and a buff Orp.
I am so EXCITED to finally have some girls! I will post pics later today!

Too cool.. I bet that is a thrill... I love it when someone keeps their word! Congratulations! We would love to see pics of these two lovely ladies and their happy gentleman friend. LOL
