Not a problem.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

where is everyone?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Feeding the chickens???

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

already done that, and moved the new chicks to the nursery

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I'm inventorying epiphyllums , down here north of Orlanda.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I'm at work, thinking about my chickens.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Fluffering with a TWT. ok I'm not but I would REALLY like to be. Actually I'm debating over whether it's too late to attach the clemmie to my fabby new arbour or whether I should wait til spring??? It's been kissed by Jack already but I would really like to get it off the temporary trellis.

(Zone 7b)

I love the fact that the chickens may out number the people gives me more chicken friends!

Most but not all of my friends own one or more kinds of the things i raise but we don't talk about just chickens all the time alot of us garden as well.

Chicken people are some of the nicest people and very down to earth.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Those babies sure are cute..congrats!!!

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I do have some garden stuff I can talk about too! This past weekend I planted nearly 1000 bulbs - mostly alliums but also some daffs, anemone, crocus, and fritillaries. I also have a peach tree waiting to be planted that I need to get in the ground asap.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

wow 1000 bulbs!!???

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I have about 300 left to go...

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

oh my, do you have a bulb planter or are you just digging trenches?

I have 1 bag of tulip bulbs from our RU that I still have to plant.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I wish I could grow bulbs down here. I have only 3 types of bulbs that do good here. Amaryllis, one type of narcissus and summer snowflake. I should not complain becouse we do have so many other things that will grow here.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Don't say Amaryllis..I only wanted 3 when I went to that co-op...12 later im scrambling to find pots!! (I already had 3-4 bulbs I really didn't need anymore)

I have a bunch of bulbs to plant too...mostly lilies, tulips, daffs, and crocus.

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

I used an auger thing on an electric hand drill. It drilled nice holes to pop bulbs into and also broke up the nasty clay soil a bit. In some areas I used a spade and dug out a whole section and planted a bunch of bulbs in groups. It took me most of the weekend last weekend to get it done. It was a lot of work....but in spring it should be pretty I think.

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

He He!!! down here I plant Amaryllis in the grown!!!!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Oh rub it in! lol You can grow all different colors of Hibiscus too, im trying to over winter one, we will see if it works.

some times it gets to hot for the Hibiscus. they need a lot of water down here. You can cut it back and keep it above freezing and it should be ok.

I have some in pots. You do have more choices of bulbs and fall color and your springs are to die for. Down here you blink you miss fall. And our so called spring is spread out over a couple of months.
The maples barely change color before the are blooming in January.

oooo wren so luvly. I grow hibiscus as annuals sometimes. Very prettiful. I'm simply going to ignore the 'Amaryllis in the ground' comment LOL. Speaking of which I better go find it (I have a grand total of one). Its somewhere down there in the cold room.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

wren whats the name of that Amaryllis? It's stunning!!!!

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I believe it is "Charisma" www.royalcolors.com

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

OMG...why did you send me there? Good grief, I could go broke in minutes!!!!! LOL

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I often put a "DANGER! DANGER! GO HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Dahlianut takes no responsibility for losing your mind and buying everything" disclaimer on sites. ps. wouldn't it be luvly if there was a 'buy all' button in the shopping cart in some catalogues? ^_^

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

It would be great to win the lotto!!!!!!!! I would have one of every Amaryllis and epiphyllum and some one to help me take care of them!!!!!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I'm still looking...I didn't realize there was so many mini's!! I love mini everything, mini daylilies, dwarf iris ect...

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

Right now I am sticking with the epi lot cheaper to buy as a cutting runs 2 to 10 dollars.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

I would buy a huge dahlia plantation and have a continual open garden. Of course I hope that some nice peoples would help me divide them all otherwise I'd be hooped ^_^

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 8b)

I am sure you could find enough people to help!!!LOL

Oxford, NS(Zone 5b)

Oh my goodness...what is that white flower Wren? Is that the spider lily? I MUST have one!!!
