Hi - I love this look! so beautiful. I'm considering starting some creeping fig on my ownhome, but am concerned about damage to the house. We have a concrete block house in south florida. Is it possible for fig to damage concrete? Thanks!

I don't know the answer to that, but a lot of buildings have it on them, and it's planted in new malls and stores, so I think they would have done their research.

Wait until you need to remove it..THAT'S the damage. I have seen it tear apart those common cinder block walls you see all over soucal. The roots meld with the mortar.

Well, I have seen this building now for 6 years... no attempt to remove the plants yet. A number of apartments nearby have similar Ficus adornments. Guess once you dress up like this, you better stay dressed up.
