Does anyone have a good pottery source in NC like the pots in Michelle's garden here [HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com]
I'm talking about gardening pottery, not teapots or face jugs and art pottery like Seagrove has.

Good pottery in NC
Cedar Creek in Creedmoor has interesting things but not inexpensive
The fall and Christmas studio tours always good source (in Orange and Chatam counties)
(you can check Orange County Arts Guild for dates)
Once a year there are several shows where several artists get together for an outdoor show - and some very interesting garden art booths are there... small birdbaths, statues, etc., pots) reasonably priced. Not mass produced
You may want to google Nancy Redman - she and both the Lovejoys have several shows a year - in Dec the Boylan Heights neighborhood has a christmas show and all three are there. I have purchased WONDERFUL garden /pot stakes (pottery) from Nancy - plus she does statues and birdbaths etc. etc. Is this the info you are looking for?
Missingrosie: Thank you for the info. What I'm looking for are large garden vases and glazed flower pots like the Clay Market has, but less expensive. $300 for a pot is way too much to spend.
North of you is Seagroves and they are open now there are 125 shops . You just have to drive from 1 tothe other. Matter of fack I think in the next week or so they are having open house thats a great festival.
Google Seagrove potterys.

I'm familiar with Seagrove, but do they do the garden pottery as well? What I've seen is mostly art pottery, etc.
Oh yes there are shops that do garden pottery. One place only does the yard pots.
Its Nov 22 thru 23rd.

Lavina: Thanks for the info. I'll put it on my calendar for sure.
Take lots of money.LOL
I love that place.

Logans ---in Raleigh -- you can get some great deals there - Pots are waist high down to ankle... Some with closed drainage if you want to make a small water pond and others have the hole for drainage or plumbing for fountains. There are 300 dollar ones but some are less (much less) or you can speak with them if a small non structural chip that nobody would see. Most of the landscape nurseries have ---but are expensive like you have said.
MRosie: Thank you. Next time I'm in Raleigh I'll check out Logan's. I don't mind damage if I can get a reduced price and turn it toward a non-viewable angle.
