Pink Charm

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

Here's one of those brugs that everyone should own. This is a hybrid by Monika Gottschalk with Shirley Morr as the seedling parent. A fairly recent release. I have been growing this one for two years now and she is one of my favorites. Hot weather is no problem for this one. I'm told that she had blooms on her for most of the summer while I was away. Now she is beginning to go into full flush. The blooms can get very dark. Their color when at their darkest is a shocking pink, bordering on a fushia. She has a nice fragrance in the evening and usually flushes heavily all winter here in florida.

Wow. I have something to look forward to. My Pink Charm didn't grow too much this summer. I hope she grows some more between now and winter.

Fantastic to have white and pink blooms on the same plant even if only for a few hours.

Haha- just kidding LMAO!!!

She is *seriously* gorgeous! I love the multicolored tones on the plant. Reminds me of Rubirosa :)

Love your night picture, Gary. Adding to what you wrote, I also found that the mites didn't bother her.
