To rcn48: That water ball! How do you do it?

In Gitagal's thread "Fall and Cleaning up your garden......what are YOU doing" you posted a photo of what looks like a concrete ball with a chunk broken out. It's filled with water and water plants. I've been looking for instructions to do one of those, mostly for a Siberian Iris that I just can't seem to keep wet enough.

More info on that great ball, please?!!
