Never thought I'd be a gardener

Hello,
I've been here 'bout a week or so and decided to check out the other forums, you know, make myself at home.
I really never thought I could ever grow anything. When I was a kid I always had to weed the garden, or pick up rotten apples in our yard; I loathed the garden. We had dinky "same 'ol same 'ol" house plants and they were only good for pinching while watching TV. (After 13 yrs. that plant still has nail marks in the leaves). I moved out with a few of those dinky houseplants, and after realizing that I grew them better than my mom, oh yeah, I was hooked. When we got a place with a yard, I dug it all up and snagged some seeds at the bottom of Mom's seed tin. Man, was she ever jealous after she saw my garden grow! Now I collect seeds like mad, I covet my neighbors passion vine, and I propagate my plants like crazy. My main loves are flowering vines and the vastly unusual and colorful.
